According to USD 259 school district this is the oldest remaining Wichita public school, this school is important as a remnant of Wichita's late 19th and early 20th century history. It originally had 4 classrooms, then the addition was added with 4 more classrooms. It was used as a school until the 1950's and has since been used for special purposes by the Wichita school system. The architecture is romanesque revival style
