I am at heart, an explorer, especially around Kansas. I'm a member of the Kansas Explorer's Club, which was created to encourage the exploration and appreciation of Kansas, and to act as a support group for rural Kansas towns.
I especially enjoy traveling the rural roads of Kansas and composing photos of rural scenes, landscapes, architecture, bridges, and cemeteries. I "Dare to do Dirt" every chance I can. I also enjoy stopping in small towns to visit with local people and hear what they do to keep their towns alive.
It is my sincere desire that, by viewing my photos, especially those of Kansas, that others will be stimulated to explore all Kansas has to offer, and spend money in small towns.
Open the Kansas Exploring Gallery below to see general Kansas photos by area and county.
Open the Dare to do Dirt Gallery below to see mainly rural Kansas photos by area and county. Some small town photos may be included here too.
These photos are also intended to dispel some of the myths about Kansas. Kansas truly has much to offer the traveler.
Many of these photos are meant to be documentary in nature and show a "Snapshot in Time" which I saw that particular day.
